How To Properly Upgrade Your frugal Theme To Version 3.2

Be sure to watch this video for instructions on properly upgrading to frugal 3.2.   (Note: The plugin for upgrading can be downloaded in the frugal forum, right next to the frugal 3.2 Theme download.  Also, if you are upgrading from any version older than 3.0 you may only have some of your settings transfer with the upgrade plugin.)

ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Once you go through the upgrade process DO NOT re-activate your old version. This may cause the loss of settings. So be sure to make note of current settings BEFORE the upgrade so you can refer to them if needed, WITHOUT reverting back to the old version.  It’s also a good idea to make note of your current settings (especially things like header and footer scripts, footer text/links, affiliate links, etc…) before attempting the upgrade process.

First, a basic overview of the process:

1. Install frugal 3.2 (upload and activate)
2. Install the frugal Upgrade Plugin (upload and activate)
3. Run through the 2 step process in the frugal Upgrade Plugin
4. Check your site to see if the settings transfered
5. You can remove/delete your old version of frugal at this point, but be sure to backup any old customized files you may have it the old frugal files (if you have any)
